Cut down on sugar and junk foodIt is that time of year again, spring is on the way and our skin is feeling dull and tired. This is a common problem for a lot of people, we are often asked how can we make our skin glow. We have pulled together our 10 tips for healthier looking and feeling skin.
The number one most important thing is to use an effective moisturiser to protect and treat the skin according to skin type and conditions. Always follow a set procedure – morning and evening.
Always use the same product range religiously day and night allowing the skin to be treated correctly. All products therefore working together effectively to allow healthier looking skin. Using a mixture of different products can cause skin reactions and work against each other.
It is also essential to exfoliate regularly to aid the removal of dead skin cells on the surface and to allow the full penetration of creams more effectively.
Ensure you always protect the skin against sun damage, extreme weathers and ultra violet rays. It is essential to have sun protection of 15 and above to protect.
Everyone concerned with accelerated skin ageing should use a separate eye and neck cream as both these areas are made up of fine delicate skins.
At least once/ twice a week try to have a bath whilst wearing a suitable face mask as the steam from the hot water will allow the pores to open wider and this will act as a deeper penetration method for the mask to enter the deeper layers of the skin and therefore the result will be more successful for the skin.
Get plenty of sleep-at least 8 hours of restful sleep will allow the skin to rest and recover from the day.
Avoid squeezing breakouts – this can leave marks on the skin unnecessarily and may spread infection if present.
Avoid smoking and alcohol.
Avoid too many sugary or fatty foods.
