This is very subjective to the individual client. It will depend on what you want to achieve and where your starting from. If your condition has been going on for years, one treatment will not be enough. We recommend for optimum results, select a course of 3 treatment during a one month period.
Following on from your initial course, to maintain and support your new dietary and lifestyle improvements, we suggest 3-4 individual treatments per year.
Often clients do lose weight and feel lighter after a colonic. The most powerful results that happen with a colonic happen on the inside and can’t be measured by a pair of scales. If you come for regular treatments and follow our dietary and lifestyle advice, you’ll certainly begin to see the scales move in the right direction.
You’ll feel fine to carry on with your normal day. Drive, swim, laugh and play. Many people feel lighter and brighter. We would certainly recommend you refrain from over eating, or eating a heavy meal after your therapy. Occasionally some clients feel tired, but in a good way. Our bowel is regarded as our second brain. Letting go of a lot of old crap from the gut, often releases a lot of old crap from the mind as well!
Yes, as long as you feel comfortable to do so. Remember to bring some additional tampons or towels with you for use after treatment.
Your digestive system is designed to keep you alive and well. It’s function is to supply the body with water, energy, vitamins and minerals from our food and drink. When the bowel and digestive system is working well, we feel well. Here are some helpful tips that your bowel would share with you if it could talk…
Fibre is a vitally important part of a healthy diet and keeps your bowel moving regularly. Chose wholegrain, pumpernickel, rye, amaranth or buckwheat bread for sandwiches or toast. Jumbo unrefined porridge oats would be an excellent breakfast choice. Choose fruit and chopped raw veggies for a healthy fibre filled snack instead of the choccie bar or a packet of crisps. Why not sprinkle some raw seeds into your salads or soups.
Avoid Processed Meats
We’re not saying that you have to give anything up, however studies show the more your diet contains bacon, ham, salami, sausages, burgers, or any processed meats, the higher your chance of bowel issues will be. These foods need to be regarded as an occasional treat. Try having chicken, fish or a vegetarian option instead. Why not have two vegetarian days per week. Healthy alternatives could be beans, legumes and lentils.
Tea and coffee can de-hydrate the bowel, causing constipation and irritability. Why not try green tea, herbal teas, green juices and smoothies every now and again. Your bowel will love you for having alcohol free days. Alcohol in general needs to be regarded as a treat, not an every day occurance.
A sedentary lifestyle is the new smoking. If you expect your bowel to work well for you when your’re sitting on your backside all day, think again. It’s not about joining a swanky gym – simply begin to walk for 15 mins every day and build up to 30-40 minutes per day if you can. Walk to work, walk to the shops, get out your bike, offer to help out at your local animal shelter and walk a dog in need. The longest living people in the world exercise. It’s so important for your mood, your weight and your bowel health.
Take Your Time
The world is a fast, stressful place. Ensure you take time to chew your food well, make eating important and concentrate on what your eating. Sit on the toilet regularly and get into a routine for emptying your bowel. Your body loves routine, so even if you don’t have the urge to go, sit on the loo for a few minutes at the same time every day. Your bowel can be trained and educated to eliminate for your daily – just give it the time and space.
A good old belly laugh is the perfect way to help the bowels move. We use our stomach muscles to laugh. Watch a funny movie or your favourite comedian on You Tube. Sometimes life can be demanding and we forget to have fun with it.
